Antero reservoir is one of three famous lakes in Park County Colorado. It is home to large trout that average 16”-22” in length, though larger trout are not uncommon. Antero is one of the most biologically productive reservoirs in the state with prolific hatches of chironomids, damselflys, and callibaetis mayflies. Other food sources include scuds, snails, leeches, crawdads, and smaller fish. With such an abundance of food, fish can grow up to an inch per month!
